1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to bugX ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our website at bugx.in and any associated services, software, or applications (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and such modifications will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Description of Service

bugX provides a suite of online developer tools and utilities including, but not limited to:

• URL and website analysis tools (status checker, SSL validator, redirect checker)
• SEO analysis tools (meta checker, page speed, broken links detector)
• Security tools (SSL checker, security headers analyzer, CORS tester)
• DNS and domain tools (DNS lookup, WHOIS)
• Developer utilities (JSON formatter, Base64 encoder/decoder, hash generator, regex tester)
• Database comparison tools
• API testing tools

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

Some features of our Service require you to create an account. When registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or abuse of the Service.

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

4.1 Free Plan

We offer a free tier with limited access to certain tools. Anonymous users receive 5 free uses per tool, per 24-hour period. Registered free users receive 10 checks per day for server-side tools.

4.2 Paid Plans

We offer paid subscription plans (Starter and Pro) with enhanced features:

• Starter Plan (₹99/month): 100 checks per day, access to all 33+ tools, CSV export
• Pro Plan (₹299/month): Unlimited checks, REST API access, priority support, database tools

4.3 Billing and Renewals

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Razorpay. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard.

4.4 Refunds

We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you are unsatisfied with your subscription, please contact us within 7 days of your payment. Refunds are not guaranteed and are at our sole discretion.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others
• Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Conduct denial-of-service attacks or overload our infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the Service without permission
• Use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal API usage
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Property

The Service, including all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, software, and code), is owned by bugX and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any data or content you submit to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of your data and will not use it for any purpose other than delivering the Service.

6.3 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us the right to use such feedback without any obligation to you.

7. API Usage

If you access our Service through our API (available to Pro plan subscribers):

• You must use your API key responsibly and keep it confidential
• Rate limits apply based on your subscription plan
• You may not share your API key with others or use it for multiple applications without permission
• We reserve the right to revoke API access for abuse or violation of these Terms

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of results obtained through the Service

You acknowledge that the tools provided are for informational purposes and should not be the sole basis for critical decisions. Always verify results independently for important matters.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUGX AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
• Any damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
• Any damages resulting from interruption or cessation of the Service

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is greater.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless bugX and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Any content you submit to the Service

11. Third-Party Services

Our Service may integrate with or link to third-party services (such as Razorpay for payments). Your use of such services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with proceedings held in Bangalore, India.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and bugX regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
